Services for the Rev. Peter J. Geraghty, 73 years old, who died June 24th 1943 in St. George's hospital Friday night, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. He was born in Dunmore, Co.Galway, Ireland. St.Francis Seminary, Milwaukee,St.Viator’s College Bourbonnais and St Mary’s Seminary Baltimore. Ordained January 25th 1905, Holy Name Catherdal, by Archbishop James E. Quigley.  Brother of Mrs. Ellen Clark, County Galway, Ireland. Asignments included St.Mary,Rockford,St.Bernard,St Sylvester, St.Bonaventure, All Saints,allof Chicago. St. Joseph Novitiate, Palos Park,chaplain.His last pastorate was at St. James' church, Sag Bridge, Ill., and previously had served as assistant at St. Bernard's and in various parishes, including St. Bonaventure's and All Saints', St. Mary's in Rockford, and founder of St. Gerald's church, Oak Lawn, Ill. He served 38 years in the priesthood of the Chicago archdiocese. The body will rest at St. George hospital until 4 p.m. Monday and thereafter at St. Bernard's until time of the funeral where solemn requiem mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10 a.m. Interment Mount Carmel cemetery.
