Rev. William R. Leyhane, 86, retired pastor of St. Ethelreda Catholic Church, died Monday at the parish rectory. He was pastor of the church from 1951 until his retirement in 1969. He previously had been pastor at St. James of the Sag Church, in Lemont. Other parish assignments included St. Bride's, St. Gabriel, St. John the Baptist, St. Thomas Aquinas, Our Lady of Victory and St. Agnes. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Ethelreda's, 88th Street and Paulina Avenue.
